I arrived in Iceland yesterday safely and smoothly, praise God! The plane landed around 7 am, and at the airport, I was pleasantly surprised by the immigration agent, who talked to me in Mandarin Chinese!
Over here in Iceland, they have their church services on Sunday afternoon, instead of in the morning, so I was able to sleep for several hours before going to church at Catch the Fire Reykjavik (CTF Reyk). Later in the evening, I played electric violin on the worship set at the local House of Prayer, which was hosting a conference with Kirk Bennett, a guest speaker from Kansas City's International House of Prayer. I knew Kirk from over 5 years ago, when I was a part of ZHOP (Zadok House of Prayer) in South Carolina, where Kirk was the director.
At the meeting, I met more of my old friends in Iceland, and it was wonderful to see them again! The entire session was powerful, and God really moved. He is good! Now that I am here on this island, I am glad to be participating in what God is doing here. Let His kingdom come, and His will be done in Iceland.
I will write more about my life here in future posts, as I get more settled down, so stay tuned.
Blessings from Iceland,
Samuel
